Jack Lynch ain’t like most other surfer dudes. He’s one of the rare breed, the type of guy who chose longboards over thrusters, hangin’ ten over air reverses and Byron Bay over Bondi Beach. An interesting cat we know, that’s why Jack’s such a great contributor to the Sabre posse.

Anyway, we just got word from the man himself that his new website is live and ready for your perusal. As expected, it’s bang on – a mix of surf clips, lo-fi photography and other randomly found awesomeness.

We know it’s a bit late to be saying this, but thank god 2012 is over. What a brain dead waste of 365 days that was… Sabre has chosen to celebrate the fact earth didn’t end the old fashioned way – with a brand new set of marketing images destined to make you feel nostalgic, excited and maybe even a little bit aroused (if you’re into men with beards and smoking hot blonde models rolling around in the sand).

The “Post Apocalyptic Feel Good Campaign” is Sabre’s shout out to the types of ads you’d find in vintage men’s magazines – y’know, the ones that tell you to buy a muscle car, drink whiskey and smoke cigarettes like they’re about to be extinct.

The ad below, featuring Creature Fiend Al Partanen, is just the beginning. We’ll be dropping a selection of similarly themed awesomeness in between our other blog posts, so keep your eyes peeled, otherwise you’ll miss the smoking hot blonde we alluded to a couple of paragraphs ago.

SIA starts tomorrow… Can you believe it’s that time of the year again? Neither can we, but our best cold weather gear has been packed tight and we’re on the way to Denver, Colorado for yet another trade show filled with sponsored parties, award nights, video premieres, regretful binge drinking, and if there’s time, we may even do some business too.

We’re introducing a bunch of new goggles and sunglasses at SIA, so please, swing by the Sabre booth and beg us for free beer and a pair of promo shades – we’d love to see you there.
